I am inspired by the colours and flamboyance of the Moghul Court, manifested in  the exquisite miniatures recording court life. The demand for luxury and hedonistic pleasure resulted in royal artisans producing beautiful and inspirational materials: velvets, embroidered, hand painted silks, voile and chiffon, to name a

few, the colours mirroring life in the scorching climate of Rajasthan. My interpretations of this wonderful heritage are: Riding Coats of sumptuous silk velvet in jewel colours lined with paper silk in vintage hued designs.  These romantic, sensuous-feeling coats can be thrown on to dress up for any occasion. Maharajah Coats, irredescent in tissue silk, delicately hand painted, reflecting

the light in tantalising intensity for a more formal party. Vintage Bengali Quilts:  hand quilted with tiny stitches in shimmering colours, and a multiplicity of designs, to throw over a bed, a sofa, a table, use as curtains, hangings in a yurt or to throw on the ground in a tepee. Single bed size, some reversible.
